The 12.5m and 14.5m JDPs are registered in 1st Category (Current equivalent:
Category A (CE) in France).

The 16.5m JDP is registered
in the NUC Category:
Ship for Commercial Use, Maritime Affairs


Those who travelled in Asia undoubtedly will have noticed them. Junks are still in very much in use in China, Thailand and in Hong Kong where they contrast sharpely with a backdrop of glass facades
